Third Charité Entrepreneurship Summit

Berlin, March 15-17, 2010

Since its successful launch in 2007, the Charité Biomedical Entrepreneurship Summit has become an international forum for participants and speakers coming from various professional backgrounds in life sciences and in entrepreneurship. The Charité Summit 2010 took place in the central seminar building ("Lehrgebaeude") at the campus Virchow Klinikum of Charité - Universitaetsmedizin Berlin on March 15th until 17th.

The event is organised to inform, motivate, and qualify researchers, clinicians, administrators and intermediaries.

For the first time, we were extending the summit for a third day. On Wednesday, three new modules were available following the regular programme on Monday and Tuesday:

  • “Charité Partnering”: A session where carefully selected biomedical and medtech entrepreneurs pitched their ideas – with venture capitalists, business development managers, and service companies in the audience (as well as 1:1 meetings);
  • “Business Speed Dating”: A match making module where scientists and doctors with a medical business idea could meet a number of engineering graduates, MBAs, and seasoned entrepreneurs in rapid succession in order to assemble the right team for realising their vision.
